Research & Collaboration

Bridging the Gaps for Stronger Cybersecurity.

We contribute our practical experience to international research projects and put theoretical knowledge into practice. By collaborating with universities, companies and international stakeholder groups, we enable the interdisciplinary exchange of expertise that is essential for cybersecurity. After all, teamwork is essential in the fight against cyber crime.

UAS Mannheim

Supporting scientific advancements for future cybersecurity.

As an independent affiliated institute of the University of Applied Sciences Mannheim, we want to bring together the academic world with the perspectives of industry: Since March 2023, we have been supporting the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences in research and education. We share our practical and industrial expertise in cybersecurity, digital security, physical security, automotive security and nuclear security with students and faculty, e.g. by applying for research projects in the fields of cybersecurity education and AI cybersecurity, or by offering hands-on seminars on security awareness and automotive security with many international guest speakers from the industry.

Erasmus+: CYBER4SCHOOLS

Erasmus+: CYBER4SCHOOLS was a research project that aimed to support the development of digital education concepts in European schools in an innovative way to ensure that students learn to use these digital tools in a safe and responsible way. The project achieved this by providing a digital education concept centred on cybergames on a specially developed gaming application, together with associated training and teaching materials for online courses, to provide a novel learning experience for pupils even in a remote online environment.

In this way, the project helped students to develop new digital skills to navigate an increasingly challenging digital world, and helped them to internalise the negative consequences of their digital actions and reflect on their possibly false sense of invincibility in the digital domain. At the same time, it empowered and supported teachers to use innovative learning tools and inspired them and their students to become ambassadors of innovative learning using games in cybersecurity education.

We worked on this innovative research project until February 2023 under the consortial leadership of ASM Market Reseach and Analysis Center and in cooperation with its partners Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Pelgulinna Gymnasium and Zespol Szkol Nr 2 im. Przyjazni Polsko-Norweskiej.
