Training that is hands-on.
Various problems can arise in operational technology (OT) during digitalization: Systems are often used that date back to a time when cyber attacks were not yet perceived as a threat and therefore have little or no security. The people who look after these devices also generally have no training in cybersecurity.
If these systems are now integrated into new networks, if possible, with the aim of remote control in digitized systems, it is imperative to secure the OT systems against cyberattacks to prevent production downtime in the event of an attack.
Collaboration between IT and OT managers is necessary to design the interface efficiently and securely. In many cases, this requires specific training that creates a common understanding of the problem situation and enables the participants to develop suitable solutions together.

In order to give participants a comprehensive understanding of the connections between IT and OT, we have developed an expert demonstrator device with a PLC, a Profibus system and an HMI on which participants can simulate hands-on attack paths. This allows us to present the processes as examples and demonstrate the effectiveness of cybersecurity measures in real time.
Our approach:
- We determine the target group in an initial discussion, as our training courses are customized to your team’s needs: Whether the participants are technical staff, OT specialists, engineers or ICS staff is relevant for our training content.
- We define the learning objectives of the training courses as understanding the special features of OT security, the need to protect critical assets without compromising their availability and resolving potential conflicts between IT and OT security.
- The modular structure of our training courses and exercises enables us to address your company-specific problems and achieve optimum learning outcomes.
